Today, I wanted to honor the athlete, the brother, and the son that you are: my darling son Preston. This year, 2025, will remain your most beautiful athletic year. You began it by winning the 4x800m at States, a powerful moment shared with your twin brother, Danny, and Max, a victory of teamwork, heart, and discipline. Then the cross-country season began… and that’s when you completely transformed. Discipline. Discipline. Discipline. Race after race, victory after victory, you moved forward with impressive maturity. Last year, you finished 53rd, and you told me that if I came this year, you would win. I came, and you kept your promise. You claimed first place in 4A. Wow… my son. Sharing that moment with your twin brother made this victory even more precious to my mother’s heart. Thank you for that gift. Thank you for the beautiful message you shared during the interview. Yesterday, December 13, you ran this prestigious race: the Nationals in San Diego, where only the toughest of the toughest compete. Even without a win, Mommy is incredibly proud of you.
