There are some gaps we can bridge with enough effort. Misunderstandings can be talked through. Relationships can be restored. Problems can be solved.
But there was one gap we could never cross on our own.
The distance between a holy God and broken humanity wasn't something we could overcome by trying harder or being better. No amount of good works, good intentions, or self-improvement could close that gap.
So God did what only He could do.
In His love and grace, He built the bridge Himself through Jesus.
The cross is more than a symbol of sacrifice. It's the place where mercy met our need. Where separation gave way to reconciliation. Where we were invited back into relationship with the God who has always loved us.
The Gospel has never been about earning our way to God. It's the story of a God who came to us when we couldn't make our way to Him. And that's still the best news we'll ever hear.
