I am very interested in this new FDA-cleared blood test for Alzheimer's disease. The current Appropriate Use Recommendations for the new anti-amyloid therapies state that either an amyloid PET or cerebrospinal fluid (from a spinal tap) is necessary prior to initiating anti-amyloid therapy for Alzheimer's Disease. For now, I will continue using amyloid PET scans. However, I will await the new committee recommendations.
