Highlights from this week’s Rotary meeting!
We kicked off a new Rotary year with President Bob Tucker’s first meeting and warmly welcomed our new members from the Rotary Club of Boca Raton Sunrise as our clubs officially came together.
Members also had the opportunity to introduce themselves, helping build new friendships and connections as we begin this exciting new chapter.
Congratulations to Diane Witt, the first recipient of President Bob’s new Rotarian of the Week award!

As we close another incredible Rotary year, we extend our sincere gratitude to Allen B. Konis, President 2025–2026, Rotary Club of Downtown Boca Raton, for his outstanding leadership and service.
Under Allen’s leadership, our club completed several impactful service projects, contributed hundreds of volunteer hours, strengthened our Nutrition on Weekends (NOW) program, welcomed 8 new members, and celebrated becoming a 100% Paul Harris Club for the second time in our club’s history.
Allen often reminded us that leadership is about how you make people feel. Throughout the year, he led with kindness, dedication, and a genuine commitment to Service Above Self, helping make our club stronger than ever.
Thank you, Allen, for an outstanding year of leadership and service. We look forward to building on the strong foundation you’ve helped create.

Highlights from latest Rotary Club of Downtown Boca Raton meeting.
Thank you to Mayor Andy Thomson for sharing updates on Boca Raton’s future and the continued growth of our city.
We also celebrated Arlene Herson on receiving the Rotary Foundation Major Donor Award and recognized our club’s achievement of earning three District Governor’s Gold Level Citations in Foundation, Membership, and Public Image.

This week at the Rotary Club Downtown Boca Raton, we welcomed Sherry Henry from The HabCenter as our guest speaker.
The HabCenter is dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental differences through programs that promote independence, employment opportunities, life skills, and community engagement.
