Kids Menu Revolution

As we get ready for a new school year, I’ve been reflecting on what I want the kids to gain this semester. More than anything, I want them to discover a space where they can be exposed to new things, try without fear, learn—and most importantly—have fun!

This week, watching my son experiment in the kitchen reminded me of how much he’s loved helping since he was little. Both of my boys join in, but my younger one especially loves creating his own dishes. Yes, the kitchen ends up a mess—but what matters most is his creativity and confidence growing with every recipe.

Here he is at 10, compared to when we first started playing with toy foods. ❤️

Consistency and exposure are everything! Teaching kids to cook early builds independence, curiosity, and a love for learning that goes far beyond the kitchen.

It took me a long time to step out of my comfort zone and create a new program after moving away from everything I knew. But there was never uncertainty that it was going to work. Not only because I have passion for cooking and love working with children but because I really believe in it. I trust in what I’ve created, after years of work, studies, research, and also after years of trying to build the perfect work scenario; teaching, cooking and having time for my family. Learning how to cook is important for various reasons. It promotes self-sufficiency, enabling you to prepare your own meals and make healthier choices. Cooking can also be a rewarding creative outlet, allowing you to experiment with flavors and techniques. N is 10 and V is 8. N loved apple pie so I bought everything he needed and gave him the instructions. V is my super independent boy who prepares his own snacks everyday. He loves yogurt, berries and honey. Give your child the opportunity to cook and you are also giving a practical life skill and teaching independency.
