Some of the beliefs we carry about ourselves begin much earlier than we realize.
I can trace part of my struggle with disordered eating back to a single comment I heard when I was seven years old. Looking back, I didn't realize how much that moment shaped the way I saw my body for years to come.
It's a reminder that our words matterโespecially when we're speaking to children. You never know which comment will become part of someone's inner dialogue.
