In 1996, a consecrated Host found desecrated in Buenos Aires was placed in water according to Church protocol and was later observed to take on the appearance of bloody tissue. Scientific examination by independent laboratories reported characteristics consistent with living human heart muscle, specifically myocardium under stress. Church authorities preserved the Host reverently and allowed study without public spectacle. For the faithful, this case powerfully echoes the Church’s constant teaching: that the Eucharist is not a symbol, but the living, suffering, and glorified Christ truly present among us.

On October 13, 1917, tens of thousands gathered near Fátima after three shepherd children reported that the Virgin Mary promised a public sign. Witnesses—including skeptics, journalists, and secular observers—described the sun appearing to dance, spin, and plunge toward the earth before returning to normal. The phenomenon was reported across miles and recorded in contemporary newspapers. The Church later approved the apparitions, interpreting the event as a divine sign confirming Mary’s call to prayer, penance, and conversion.
