Big change for Florida business owners starting July 1, 2026.

Florida is now one of the few states to allow Protected Series LLCs. That means a single LLC can create separate “series,” each holding its own assets and liabilities behind its own legal shield.

Why it matters: instead of forming a brand-new LLC for every rental property or business venture, you may be able to keep them under one umbrella with separation between them.

✔️ Real estate investors, multi-business owners, and family enterprises will want to understand this before the July 1 effective date.

✔️ Important: the protection only holds if the structure is set up and maintained correctly , separate bank accounts, separate records, and proper titling for each series. The details matter.
