One article* found the increase in late-life divorces attributable to the changing status of women. More than half of women, ages 55 to 64 are still employed. Timing is Everything. Do you have a friend or family member paying alimony? Every year I have men (Yes, only men and this is 2018!), who come to me too late... years after they should have filed to modify their alimony to lessen their financial burden.
