The Neshamah Institute
This week we study Parshat Beha’alotcha — a parsha about movement, leadership, and the challenges of living in community. As the Israelites continue their journey through the wilderness, tensions rise, frustrations emerge, and Moses struggles under the weight of responsibility.
Join us as we reflect on resilience, burnout, and the importance of shared leadership and support. Beha’alotcha reminds us that even sacred journeys are messy, and that growth often happens not in perfection, but in the honest work of continuing forward together.
Let's learn together. Let's grow together. Welcome home.

In the middle of a busy week, Torah gives us a chance to pause.
This summer, join Rabbi Amy on Wednesdays for an hour of Torah study focused on the spiritual wisdom of the weekly Torah portions and how these teachings continue to speak to our lives today.
Together we’ll reflect, ask questions, share perspectives, and explore what it means to live with greater intention, compassion, and awareness.
No prior experience needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to learn.
Wednesdays beginning June 3
12:00–1:00 PM on Zoom
Free and open to all.

There’s a moment at every B’nai Mitzvah when the room goes quiet.
A parent stands up.
Takes the microphone.
And speaks directly to their child.
Not about the event. Not about the party.
About them.
Who they are.
What you’ve seen.
What you hope for them.
This is one of the most meaningful parts of the entire day.
And it doesn’t need to be perfect.
It needs to be real.
The most powerful parent speeches are not polished.
They’re specific. Honest. Personal.
At Neshamah, we guide families through this moment just as much as we guide the students. Because this is part of the journey too.
A chance to say what matters. In front of everyone who matters.
