Are you familiar with the concept of the Traffic Light Theory? Life doesn’t always move when you want it to—sometimes it forces you to stop at red lights that feel like rejection, or sit in yellow moments that test your patience and make you question everything. But what if those pauses were never meant to punish you, only to protect you from paths that would have broken you or timing that would have cost you more than you realize? We get so frustrated watching others move forward while we feel stuck, not knowing that our stillness is part of our safety, our becoming. And maybe the hardest lesson is this: trusting that your green light will come—not late, not early, but exactly when you’re ready to move without losing yourself along the way.

A common pattern in toxic workplaces 😤

We often meet leaders who are doing everything they can to stay on track.

And still find themselves having to work harder than they expected just to maintain momentum.

One client shared it this way:

“Before I joined, it took much effort to get back on track. Now I have a clear intention, and my day flows. Operations and HR have more alignment than ever. If I get off track, I know I’m a phone call away from staying focused on my vision.”

What changed wasn’t effort.

It was alignment.

Clarity around priorities.
Stronger connection across the team.
And a structure that supports the leader, instead of depending on them.

That’s where momentum starts to feel different.

Not forced.
But consistent.

This is the kind of shift we see when leaders move out of the day-to-day and back into their vision.

Executive Presence is not about having the loudest voice in the room.

It is about the energy, clarity, and responsibility we bring to every interaction.

During Women’s History Month, watch this video that describes two women's journeys working in a male-majority environment. One as a coach. The other is a finance leader with aspirations for the C-suite. Their experiences open an important conversation about the leadership qualities most forward-thinking business leaders desire today.

Our discussion begins with Executive Presence and the leadership framework P.O.W.E.R.

Patience: And When We Can’t Be Patient At Least Pause, Take a Breath.
