Happy WIP Wednesday! Some sneaky peeks at some pieces of jewelry I’ve been working on for a new collection… mostly mixed media jewelry, like “hello copper,” I want to say, “meet your new friends, silk & seashells.”

Still need to make some final tweaks but I think it’s coming together!

Inspired by local Florida vibes. Beachy stuff. Sunset colors. Coastal feels. Made of seashells, copper, sterling silver, and even a little bit of 18K gold ✨

Shoutout to who taught me how to make keum-boo jewelry, using an ancient, Korean gilding technique, at a wonderful workshop hosted last year at .

I finally got to use some of the items I made that day in a piece: they’re hanging from the citrus slice necklace looking sparkly, deep, and rich. I’m quite happy with them!

Not to mention the fiber art components: from box braided colorful cording to hand dyed silk accents… these pieces feel Ike little locally inspired gems to me.
