Please read this important message below from the Cape Coral Fire Department.

"Due to the large amount of horticulture debris and the current strain on emergency services crews, the City of Cape Coral is issuing a burn ban, effective today, October 6. This will limit fire hazards within the City to protect the health, safety, and welfare of our residents. Recreational burns including fire pits, campfires, and the burning of debris are not permitted. Fires solely for cooking purposes where the fire, flames, and heat generated are fully contained within the confines of the device being used (i.e. grill) are still allowed.

The burn ban shall be in effect until the conditions of the Hurricane Ian recovery improve."
