For those impacted by Hurricane Irma, the IRS has already granted tax relief as of today, 9/12/2017. All returns that are due either on September 15 or October 16 will now be due on January 31, 2018. Also, now due on January 31, 2018 are any 2017 estimated tax payments scheduled to be paid on September 15th or January 15, 2018.
