✨ Breast reduction ✨⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
This patient, who is in her early 30’s, underwent a bilateral breast reduction. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Her goals were to achieve a more proportionate breast size, enhance their shape, and lift them to better suit her active lifestyle. She is pictured here 3 months after surgery. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
She couldn’t be happier with her results and how confident she now feels after her surgery!⁣

🔍 I believe transparency is key and share genuine results of real patients. The only alterations to photos are the following: per Instagram guidelines all photos that include female ni***es, ge****ls, and/or close-ups of fully n**e buttocks have been censored; tattoos have been blurred to de-identify patients and protect their privacy; some image backgrounds have been altered to improve image uniformity. ⁣⁣

✨ Breast sag (ptosis): causes and treatments ✨⁣⁣
⁣⁣
With age, the glandular tissue in the breast decreases and fatty tissue increases, leading to a softer breast. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
In addition, the suspensory structure that supports the breast (or “holds it up”) becomes more relaxed and breasts as a result become more ptotic. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Besides age and one’s unique breast composition, there are several factors that may further increase your risk for breast ptosis (sag).⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Risk factors for breast sag:⁣⁣
- Age⁣⁣
- Significant weight loss (>50 lbs)⁣⁣
- BMI > 30⁣⁣
- Larger bra cup size⁣⁣
- Increasing number of pregnancies⁣⁣
- Smoking history⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Not causes or risk factors for ptosis:⁣⁣
- Breast feeding history⁣⁣
- Lack of upper body exercise⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Swipe above to learn more about breast ptosis and some of the surgeries that are performed to help.⁣⁣
