Electrical stimulation (ESTIM) is very beneficial for post surgical patients!

ESTIM helps by stimulating muscles and enhancing blood flow to help improve the recovery and return to functional activities faster.

Inactivity following surgery leads to atrophy of muscle groups and weakness settles in quickly. ESTIM will help stimulate the muscle to contract, this is especially beneficial to maintain strength during periods of immobility.

Muscle activation can become difficult to properly activate following surgeries. ESTIM can also help reinforce movement patterns to muscles having difficulty ‘waking up’ following surgery. When we help with correct movement patterns it is shown to help improve rehab efficiency.
