Join us on June 16, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM for an “Introduction to Woodcarving Workshop” with instructors John Thomas and Reid Carney. This workshop will introduce students to wood carving, including tool safety, and basic tool usage will be emphasized. Students will learn the safe procedures for carving using a knife, and be introduced to sharpening, stropping, check-cuts, push-cuts, stop-cuts, and paring-cuts. Tools will be available to use or bring your favorite knife. In the June workshop, students will work on carving a Fish. Join us this Saturday, May 30th, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM for a community talk about all things pottery. Anyone interested in learning more about this engaging and enriching medium is welcome to attend. All skill levels will benefit from the knowledge learned in this informal seminar, and questions are highly encouraged. Sheryl will discuss pieces from her oeuvre with attendees in addition to the techniques that she has applied to her creative process.
