The modified 2HP dust collector. With the Dust Deputy and a little imagination I created this 2-stage cyclone dust collector. 35B222NANO cartridges from Wynn Environmental.

The short run of dust collection for the G0894 CNC router, the Jinan Camel CA-26 CNC lathe and the G0766. You can see the dust collector is a modified Central Machinery 2HP dust collector that I turned into a cyclone collector. I used a Dust Deputy and built a frame of 2x4 and plywood around that… As you can see I also used two Wynn Environmental 35B222NANO cartridges for filtration. I also attached a small plywood ring at the bottom of the second cartridge so as to have clamping surface for the plastic collection bag. I built it about five years ago and it’s been a real game changer in the shop.

The blast gates and ball joint are from and the PVC is simply from . The little wall heater is something I picked up from a few years ago. The TV/Monitor is for the Jinan Camel CNC wood lathe and the wireless mouse and keyboard make working a ton easier.

About a year ago I was able to run my own files for making brackets for putting up dust collection. The system now is a 4” PVC pipe system which includes runs for the G0894 as well as the Jinan Camel CA-26 CNC wood lathe and the good ol’ Grizzly G0766. I have yet to put up runs for the rest of the machines. Keep an eye out for an updated photo!
