Just a reminder if you know a child ages 6-16 who has lost someone special to them, this is a great opportunity to learn some new coping skills, meet other kids who have had a similar loss and make new friends. This camp is being led by hospice staff that consist of trained Hospice counselors (myself included), there will also be a music therapist and drama therapist. We will also have nurses on site.

This camp is FREE and is open to anyone ages 6-16 who has experienced the loss of a special person in their life.

We have all been experiencing some level of trauma the past 6 months. Life as we knew it pre Covid 19 is over and we are all grieving. Added to a global pandemic we have racial strife, mass media of sensationalism, economic struggles, the feeling of isolation and depression, disagreement and fallout with family and friends and we are struggling. Keep in mind the consequences of our trauma responses can often cause more pain. Look for healthy outlets; exercise, reading, gardening, creating (painting, drawing etc), yoga, etc...
