Lately, I haven't had access to my studio and have been too busy with school to figure out time so instead I grabbed a pencil and paper and free-handed this flamingo from a photo. Felt good and been a while since I sketched like that.
Some of you already know this, but for those who don't - I have a spiritual admiration and love for all things avian. For me, there are countless reasons why to love them. I've always been fascinated by their wide variations in size, color, shape, personalities, courting rituals, flight (or no flight), prey and predator, songs, etc. I've also fantasized about the power and freedom of flight. To feel one with the sky and how peaceful it must be to be up there. Just a plethora of amazingness about these creatures.
