Annual Fall Best Practices post- water you lawn and mulch your leaves!

Your lawn should go into winter dormancy well watered and thriving. Just like humans, we don't like to go to bed hungry or thirsty.

Mulching leaves is super beneficial for the soil, if you can mulch without smothering the lawn, do it. Even if that means running over the lawn a couple times a week. It also has the benefit of being MUCH easier then raking or blowing into piles.

Our M.I.L.O.W (most impressive lawn of the week)

Each week our technicians can take pictures of their lawns that they feel are impressive. That could be a distinct difference from the neighbor (w**ds, crabgrass etc) Awesome color, or anything that they deem impressive!

This week goes to Jake- A neighboring lawn full of foxtail with a hard line where ours starts (and has none!) Nice Jake!

Why Aerate and Seed?

This is a perfect example. The yard on the left is an older lawn, the right is a newer lawn with our seed. Same amount of water (none).

Note how much better newer grass holds up to heat and drought. Newer grass varieties have better color, disease tolerances and better heat/drought tolerance.
