Public invited to this City event:

The City of Bloomington Council for Community Accessibility will be holding a celebration for the 28th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on Saturday, July 28th, 2018,
from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., at the Plaza 1A on the B-Line next to the Farmers' Market. They will have several agencies who assist people with disabilities that will offer a challenge activity. Stop by, participate in some of the challenges, and win a cookie!

Come join the us for a walk assessment of the Greenway demo, a shared street pilot that will incorporate bicyclists, pedestrians, and motor vehicles in the same right-away. We will begin at 3:30 p.m., on Friday, April 27th, (rain date on May 4th).​ ​We will meet at the parking lot of the Waldron Hill Buskirk Park (Third Street Park), the southeast corner or the Park. We will take a BT vehicle to our walk assessment near Bryan Park.

There are other locations identified as potential shared street projects in our community, so this is important to all people of all abilities to see how this will work to be proactive​ ​and ensure inclusion in the planning of these pathways.

As an extra incentive, we will​ ​take the BT transportation back to the Chocolate Moose for ice cream afterward! How can you resist that?! RSVP if you need any extra accommodations to ensure accessibility on the BT vehicle to [email protected] by 3 p.m., Thursday, April 26th.

MCCAM will celebrate bike month on Sat., May the 21st at the health fair (Shower’s building parking lot). Come help us plan for this event at our March meeting and learn more about the new Bloomington bike share program!
