To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Bed Blitz, today's is highlighting the history and origins of the Bed Blitz program. Co-Founded by Robert Bosquez and Ryan Heeren, two long-standing WBRP community members, created this program after being inspired by the hidden need in Bloomington-Normal: beds and better sleep for children. Upon travelling to Kentucky for inspiration on a program outline, fundraising, and lots of community outreach, the Bed Blitz has become a very popular and highly-demanded service. The first year, 40 beds were delivered to children in need, the second year, 80, and now, we give 130 beds to children each year, thanks to the help from our sponsors, including YouthBuild McLean County and Sherman's. Co-Founder Robert Bosquez has appeared in various news sites to discuss the critical need for this program, and continues to advocate for program donations. To help , view our donation list and timeline for this year's build.
