For those interested, we'll have Richardson 112 & 115 trucker style hats available at Mid-State Kart Club tomorrow for the Season Finale, 30 lap Niehaus Memorial Race!

Another set of hats out of hats completed for Curt Vincent Racing. Worked with some good color combinations with his logo and the hat colors.

It felt great to be back in the kart and making laps at Mid-State Kart Club! The heat was out for us all to enjoy yesterday...

After a quick outing to shake the kart down I had a few small repairs to make before timing into organized practice.

The 2 practice sessions went ok as I had to settle in since I've been out of the kart for about 8 months. For qualifying the tire pressures were upped and I went out to grab P1 and the Pole for the Pre-Final!

A dismal start in the Pre-Final set me back to 2nd for lap 1. Quincy regular Olivia Hofmann pulled away for the win. This set us up to start P2 in Final 1, which sometimes works out better than P1.

A quick motor swap and hub change and we were back up to the grid for Final 1. A good start set me up to take the lead into turn 1. From there a couple of poor laps gave Olivia the opening she needed to grab the lead. By lap 10 I had settled in and gotten back to her bumper, going purple in Final 1 with a time of 36.142. Sadly I couldn't capitalize on the speed and settled for P2.

As we feel much deeper into the night the temps cooled, and so did the track. All front track width and tire pressure adjustment felt like the right call. Starting from P1 I got a strong start and led the first couple laps, I think. Olivia got a strong run the down backstretch to take the lead, which I then crossed over out of the monza to take I back. Great racing from her and very few mistakes, she was able to keep me back in P2 after her next identical attempt.

Congrats to Olivia on her double wins!

Couldn't do it without all the help from friends and family!! Thanks to Jason Miller from Urban Warfare for coming down and supporting us!
