Here's a Friday fun fact for you: when a baby is born, their brain is a quarter of the size it will be as an adult. Over the course of the next year, it will double in size! 🧠💥

In the first months and years of life, the brain is growing and learning nonstop. Shared reading is one of the best proven ways we can make sure babies' and toddlers' growing brains are getting the stimulation and engagement they need for healthy development.

When we choose to invest in our libraries and proven literacy programs like Reach Out and Read, we are taking the necessary steps to build a reading world for all.
