The grind is loud for a reason.

Every rep, every drill, every drop of sweat—
that’s the sound of champions being made.
Minnesota Vixen preseason is in full swing at the HPC. 🔥

Members of the HPC and NWHSU Faculty will be volunteering at GameDay Mankato, a two-day CrossFit competition. There will be over 250 athletes competing and a wide variety of opportunities available. We'd like to bring interns that would like to volunteer to treat during the competition with us. We've worked this event and Granite Games in the past, and it's always a great experience! If this opportunity interests you, please read the information below and connect with Jordan Knowlton-Key at [email protected].

What: Game Day Mankato CrossFit Tournament
When:
-8am-5pm Saturday, June 26th
-8am-3pm Sunday, June 27th
Where:
-Sibley Park 900 Mound Ave. Mankato, MN 56001

Responsibilities, Rewards, and Fine Points:
-Must be T7 and above to provide chiropractic care. Students who are licensed EMTs and ATCs are welcome and encouraged to volunteer independently to assist even if they are below T7.

-We are looking for approximately 4-6 interns per shift. Utility of services can fluctuate depending on event and how many additional providers will be present.

-Preference will be given to interns who can attend whole day shifts, higher trimester levels, and have sport medicine experience. However, all are welcome to apply! We're trying to get a mix of volunteers and not limit students unless there are many volunteers.

-If you can only work a 1/2 shift, please let me know

-Interns can record hours as clinic hours and adjustments towards graduation requirements.

-Volunteers who work a full single day or double shift will receive merchandise/swag from GameDay independent of NWHSU. We don't know exactly what it will be and aren't responsible for what they decide.

- GameDay will have water, coffee, and etc. and snacks. They will provide meals for the day as well for volunteers. These meals are set to be provided by a food truck.

-Any intern that volunteers will be responsible for coming early to their shift for a sports medicine orientation. We'll review emergency procedures and responsibilities.

-Volunteers are responsible for getting to the event. I will let everyone know who's going if you want to coordinate carpools. I will be transporting supplies and bringing down tables if you need me to bring anything.

If you are interested in volunteering, please send Jordan Knowlton-Key at [email protected] the following:

Trimester level
-Sports Medicine experience- if applicable
-Additional applicable certs (EMT/ATC)
-Day(s) you can volunteer and full/half shifts
-If you have your own table that you can bring.

A quick little progression/regression flow of the exercise...
This can be used to rehab a variety of injuries: shoulder pain, groin pain, low back pain, among others...
Give it a try and tell me how it goes! Also, don’t mind my neighbor and my keys falling out of my pocket at the end... something to make you laugh while we are all stuck inside
