You don’t HAVE to smile in your photos.

When I took my client’s headshot she said “I don’t want to smile.”

I said….

“Ok I got you. You want more of like a gangsta pose, right?”

She said, “yeah like a gangsta therapist.” (she's a therapist)

And instead of having her place her hand on her hip, I brought in my red chair and had her lean against it like a G lol 😎

I think this is proof that you can look approachable and professional in your headshot without smiling. 👌🏽
