Fart-hinder Racing

Fart-hinder Racing was born 16 years ago when Tim got a phone call from Darrell J Peterson about building a car for an upcoming ChumpCar race at Brainerd International Raceway. A 1992 Saab 900S was pressed into service and became a race car over the next two months. Much of the work was done by Greg Wold , John Hogdal , and Darrell. Unfortunately the engine failed early in the race. But the Saab continued to race for several years with other drivers, and was eventually replaced by a 1999 Saab 9³.

This would make such a cool race car hauler.

Once the engine was running, I drove the 96 out of the garage and back in to put it up on the Quick Jack. Wheels off and inspecting the front suspension.

The plan has been to combine parts from these three 1960 SAAB 93Fs to make one vintage race car. The plan has changed. Details soon.
