Galileo's leg injuries update:
Since his initial fence incident last week, his legs have been healing pretty good. I have used that Absorbine Silver Honey on his lacerations. He is almost done with his antibiotics. Galileo is still getting some swelling in the leg with the big boo boo, and I give him Bute for that. It will take awhile for that bigger laceration to close up, since it could not be stitched. I am putting Swat around his wounds, to keep the flies away.
Thank everyone for your prayers!
Coconut - trauma update:
Its been a long day. Sorry, I am just now having a chance to post this.
Dr. Conover, of Nebraska Equine Veterinary Clinic , came to do a follow up exam on Coconut this afternoon. Coconut's condition remains the same, as my post last night. Dr. Conover gave her another shot of banamine and another anti-inflammatory shot. She prescribed oral meds for Coconut the rest of the week. We are suppose to call with a report to Dr. Conover on Friday. If Coconut has not gotten any better or worse, then I will have her tested for EPM.
At this point, since a corral panel was down in her pen, we are leaning more toward trauma from an injury, causing her issues. That is at least something treatable and something she can recover from.
We ask for everyone's continued prayers.
