Accessibility deadlines just moved—but requirements didn’t.

The DOJ has extended ADA Title II compliance deadlines by one year. For larger entities, the April 2026 deadline has moved to April 2027 as part of a broader extension across requirements.

While the timeline has shifted, expectations around digital accessibility have not.

Health systems still need to ensure their websites, apps, and digital experiences are accessible to all users—and meaningful implementation takes time across design, development, and content.

This extension provides more runway, but not less work.
