We’re excited to share an important update about Shelter Alternatives and Energy Check. As of January 1st, ownership of the company has transitioned to Leah Simmerman, Justin Buehler, and Chris Nicholson; all long-time members of the Shelter team.
After more than two decades of dedicated leadership, Ed Tuchler is retiring and has entrusted the future of Shelter Alternatives to his hand-picked successors. We are deeply grateful to Ed for the integrity, vision, and steady leadership he has modeled over the years. He has built a strong foundation, and we are proud to continue to build upon it.
Leah, Justin, and Chris bring nearly 30 years of combined experience with Shelter Alternatives. They care deeply about this company, the people we work alongside, and the community we serve. As new owners, they are committed to carrying forward the vision and values that have come to define Shelter. Our dedication to quality craftsmanship, environmental responsibility, and thoughtful, creative design will always remain fundamental to who we are.
We look forward to holding tight to these values while thoughtfully evolving to continue to serve our clients, trade partners, and community for years to come.
