This piece was woven over 100 years ago by the famous Persian Nomads - The Qashqais. Works of these weavers are cherished by many, and this one is certainly no exception. Examples from this era are one of a kind and difficult to find. As we organize and document our exclusive collection, it is our honor to share some of our most exquisite pieces with you all!

😎 Today's cool tribal rug of the week is this vintage Kashkooli, moharamat design. These weavers are experts in color and are pioneers in the realm of rug design.This piece is part of our exclusive collection here at Persian Rug Gallery . 🌞 Came across this unique, antique Hassan Abad while sorting our exclusive tribal section.

Located near Abadeh, these weavers are known for their crimson reds and sun shaped medallions. These pieces can be incredibly intricate, and this one is no exception.

Laiden with tribal motifs this piece also features 6 dragon heads, paying homage to the pillars of Persepolis. What is most interesting to me though, is the four animal motifs in the center. I personally think they look like dinosaurs.... what do you think? 😅

A tale or two rugs, recently we parted with one of our oldest rugs (blue and gold), this 130 year old Lori was proudly displayed on our wall to demonstrate the lasting quality and beauty of Persian Rugs. We have since replaced it with a stunning rug of similar age. Introducing our antique Shariat Madari Rug. Recognized by few, this stunning rusty colored rug was woven by The Shariat Madari tribe, located just south of Shiraz, around the latter half of the 1800's!

These one of a kind pieces are a small sample of PRG's- exclusive collection. This collection features our most prized pieces due to their age, uniqueness, and collectability.
