I had the nudge a couple nights ago to sell these two pieces for two worthy causes. Art is my God given gift and it feels only right to use it to give back to him. I guess that story about the talents is true. You can’t bury them and further the kingdom.

The proceeds from the first watercolor will be sold to benefit Grace House Ministries. Grace House provides a stable, Christian home for girls in foster care. The butterflies represent these girls who are fighting to break generational cycles of poverty and abuse. With God’s help, they are being transformed from the inside out just like each of us.

The second painting sold before I could post it to the kindest soul. The proceeds are going to Prescott House, a child advocacy center for victims of abuse. I painted in a small set of birds to represent God’s care and provision for his children.

My kids and I love to pass by this lake in the mornings. We notice if there is fog settling down on it, if the skies are blue above it, if there appears to be steam coming off of it. In a world that can often feel busy and chaotic, praying this serves as a reminder to stop and see the beauty around us. Thankful for this place we call home.

A reminder of the vastness of God’s power and infinite wisdom. The creator of the universe who knows us each by name. I will never fully wrap my head around it but what a beautiful thought. He knows you. He sees you. He cares for you.
