Last but not least, children behave in a certain way to get access to something tangible. I'm sure many of you have been there... at the grocery store and tantrums and all sorts of behaviors come out in order for your child to get something tangible. Coming up, we will look at what to do and how to respond once you know what the function of the behavior is!

Up next…Attention. Attention seeking is very normal for kids. They will go to great lengths to get their need for attention met. What do your kids do to get your attention?

The next function of behavior is escape. This is a very normal response when your kiddo doesn't want to do something!! Stay tuned in the coming weeks when we talk about how to respond to escape behaviors.
