🍸Holding onto resentment is like drinking poison and expecting your enemy to die. 🤬

Here's how and why it's VERY harmful to you:

👉It's like a harmful substance that you ingest, but instead of hurting the person who wronged you, it ends up damaging you from the inside out.

Just as poison disrupts your body's normal functions, resentment does the same to your emotional well-being. It's a potent toxin that seeps into every part of your life, leaving no organ untouched.

🤕Let's start with your skin. Just as a potent poison can cause rashes, inflammation, and other visible signs of distress on your skin, resentment can do the same but in a more subtle manner. The stress caused by harboring ill feelings can trigger various skin conditions like acne, eczema, and even premature aging. It's like your skin, the largest organ of your body, is screaming for you to let go of the resentment.

☠️ Internally, just as poison wreaks havoc on your organs, resentment eats away at you physically too. It stirs up chronic stress, which may lead to high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, and a host of other health issues. It's as if you're drinking a slow-acting poison, causing gradual harm to your body, drop by drop.

🥴 And then there's your mind. Just as poison can cause confusion, hallucinations, and impaired cognitive function, resentment clouds your judgment and distorts your perspective. It consumes your thoughts, leaving little room for positivity or peace. It's as if you're stuck in a fog of toxicity, unable to see clearly or think straight.

😍🥰😘😇In conclusion, holding onto resentment is a self-inflicted wound, much like swallowing poison. The only antidote is forgiveness and letting go. Only then can your skin heal, your body rejuvenate, and your mind find clarity again.

YOUR SELF-TALK FUELS YOUR SELF-DESTRUCTION & LOWERS ENERGY LEVEL and HERE's a DIFFERENT WAY -

Increasing awareness of self-talk allows one to choose compassion over criticism and nurture oneself with love, improving energy levels, decisions, and relationships through commitment to tender self-care.

Today, decide to become more aware of your self-talk... when you do something "wrong" or make a "mistake" take note of what your go-to words are?

Some might be:
God, I am a dummy.
I am such a loser.
God, I am so lazy.
Dang-it, I did that again, why am I so stupid?

What do you think when you look in the mirror?
Some have told me:
You are so ugly.
No one really likes you.
God, you are getting old. Look at that saggy skin. Gross
I don't even like to look at you anymore.

Your body feels your every word and feeling.
EVERY. SINGLE. WORD.

Every self-sabotaging thought, only fuels lower self-esteem, negative behaviors, and/ or addictions.

Instead, catch it and SAY CANCEL CANCEL! This allows a moment to disrupt the pattern to then make a choice to re-calibrate.

Pick a different statement for yourself that holds compassion, love, and acceptance and a modification of the action for the next time.

What is a statement you want to reinforce to yourself today?
