Farrier Rasp Bowie Knife 03/23/2017

Created for a dear friend, this Rasp had been used by her father and she honored me with having me create this Bowie Knife. The overall knife length was about 13 inches. The handle scales I created by using a technique known as Fractal Burning and uses high voltages of electricity that is passed through the wood to create a lightening pattern. If you want to learn more about Fractal Wood Burning you can Google Lichtenberg Art.

Chisel Grind Project 01/30/2017

These two knives were both cut from a 12 inch half round file. Immediately when a good friend gave it to me it just felt like a blade that shoukd be chisel ground. The krux of this grind is basically a one sided grind, leaving more steel on the blade resulting in increased durability. Of course also being constructed from a file which inherently is a high carbon steele, so they will also hold an edge very well. You see a lot of chisel ground knives that are squared off like one of these and the other is just my own creation. The top edge is ground to a sharp point for stabbing motion but is ground only as a swedge to keep it a legal carry. As with everything on the site they are for sale with no listed price just on a make an offer basis only.
