Interstate 27 update

I have the honor of sitting on the I-27 Advisory Committee chaired by Lubbock County Judge Curtis Parrish. Big Spring’s Hotel Settles was the site for our most recent meeting which involved TxDOT members and leadership from the Texas Panhandle to the Mexican border (Laredo). This transition of Hwy 87 to an Interstate has been in the works for many years. Visible progress is being made. Big Spring and Howard County are truly a “Crossroads” for industry and travel. Big Spring Mayor Robert Moore also sits in this committee. Gloria McDonald, and Susan Sankey (EDC) were also in attendance. Let’s keep this momentum going! Good things are happening here!
