Congrats to Diane Healy on her first solo flight!

Diane has been the best to have around the school! She is the definition of girl boss. It’s been amazing to see her grow in her knowledge and skills so rapidly. She’s so humble and flexible with us, accomodating other students and always cracking jokes on the flight line. She also is a major dog lover - big fan of Rue 🐾 We appreciate her so much!

Congrats to Cris Calles on his first solo flight!

Cris has been so grateful to us and a blessing to have at the school. He’s always down for an adventure and is a true pilot at heart - yearning for the sky whenever his feet are on the ground.

Another two solos in the books!

Congrats to Jonathan Payne and Jacob Alberts on their first solo flights!

Jonathan Payne is just 16 years old and has been an aviation enthusiast for years. From attending ground school, summer camps, and aviation conventions to beginning flight training at just 15 years old, he’s been working toward this milestone for a long time. His dream is to become a professional pilot, and this is just the beginning.

Jacob Alberts also started flying at 15 and recently achieved an incredible milestone by soloing in his very own airplane. He’s absolutely obsessed with aviation, loves anything with an engine, and getting to fly his own airplane that he received for his birthday makes this accomplishment even more special. How cool is that?

Both Jonathan and Jacob started young and are well on their way to becoming professional pilots. They continue to impress their CFIs every lesson, and watching their passion and excitement for flying reminds all of us why we fell in love with aviation in the first place. Congratulations, Jonathan and Jacob! Keep chasing your dreams.

Congrats to Elijah on passing his Commercial Pilot Check Ride!

Elijah came to Mitiguy Aviation after feeling like his training had stalled at another flight school. In just a few short weeks, he earned his Commercial Pilot Certificate through focused, accelerated training and a lot of hard work.

Elijah was an incredible student to have around, and our instructors built a great bond with him throughout his training. He’s already moving on to his next goal and is now working toward his CFI. Congratulations, Elijah! We can’t wait to see you back in the right seat as a flight instructor.

Congratulations to Andrew on his first solo flight! Andrew started flying with us just a few weeks ago, and now he’s officially taking to the skies on his own. His hard work and dedication have paid off tremendously, and we couldn’t be more proud of this milestone.

We’re excited to watch him continue his journey and look forward to celebrating when he passes his checkride later this summer. Keep up the great work, Andrew!

Sara has quickly become one of our regulars at the flight school! She just graduated high school and is already pursuing her dream of a career in aviation.

Sara has a bright future ahead, and we’re proud to have been part of her journey. Congratulations, we can’t wait to see what’s next!

Congrats to Brenda Murphy on passing her Private Pilot Check Ride!

Brenda has become like family throughout her training. When she’s not on the sports field or around campus, she’s at the airport chasing her passion for aviation.

She’s an inspiration to many, and our entire staff has loved watching her progress into a Private Pilot. Congratulations, Brenda. We can’t wait to see what’s next.
