Milling:

Similar to the results of a lathe machine, a mill is used to remove material from a workpiece. The main difference is that a milling machine rotates a multi-bladed or pointed cutting tool against a stationary workpiece, where a lathe rotates the workpiece around the cutting tool.

Milling is beneficial because it has the capability of producing complicated shapes, using multi-tooth and single point cutting tools. The operation costs can be controlled to a great extent if general-purpose cutters and equipment are used.
