Itās crazy how differently age is viewed depending on where you grow up.
Growing up in Cleveland, I remember people talking about 35 like it was āold.ā Now that Iām hereā¦ I genuinely feel stronger, healthier, more confident, and more alive than I ever have.
One promise I made to myself was to never stop trying new things-even if Iām not naturally good at them. š This girl is definitely not a dancer, and my Caucasian genes are working overtime in these classes. š¤£ But I keep showing up.
What I love most isnāt the choreographyā¦ itās the room. Women from every walk of life, every background, every body type, every experience level, all cheering each other on instead of competing. There is something incredibly empowering about that kind of energy.
So hereās to being a beginner. Hereās to looking awkward. Hereās to stepping outside your comfort zone.
