The Ketamine Controversy: Ketamine Clinics Los Angeles (KCLA) Addresses Recent Arrests in the Matthew Perry Case 08/16/2024

In light of the recent arrests made in connection with Matthew Perry’s tragic passing last October, the former Friends star’s ketamine use has once again come to the forefront of public discourse. At Ketamine Clinics Los Angeles (KCLA), we believe it’s crucial to address these developments and reaffirm our commitment to the safe, responsible, therapeutic use of ketamine infusions for mental health. The news of five individuals, including medical professionals, being charged in this ongoing investigation underscores the importance of distinguishing between the misuse of ketamine and its legitimate therapeutic applications.

As most of you know by now, I am the Cofounder & COO at Ketamine Clinics Los Angeles. I’ve decided to start sharing more about the treatments we provide at KCLA on my personal page because so many people are in need of mental health support. I wanted to start by talking about some of the most common questions I hear when I tell people what I do for a living. One of the questions I get a lot is: “what does the treatment feel like?”

Here’s the run down - During the infusion, most people experience a moderate level of dissociation; vision may be blurry, sounds may be heightened, and you may feel detached from yourself, almost as if you are watching yourself have the experience. Most people find this enjoyable or interesting. You will be awake/conscious throughout the entire infusion.

Sometimes, the experience can produce some anxiety and we offer support and if necessary can provide medication to help with that. We can also lower the rate of the infusion and the intensity diminishes within minutes. When the infusion is complete, the dissociation is mostly gone within 20-30 minutes though some lingering dizziness and fatigue are common until you’ve had a full night of sleep.

👉If you have any questions at all, please DM me. All inquiries are confidential, there is no judgment, and I am grateful to be able to help! If you got any value from this, please like and share it, that's motivation for me and I appreciate it!

Perspective is everything! Find the silver lining. Go with the flow. Let go of expectations. Cut people some slack. Thank me later. ✌🏼

What do you feed your mind with? We talk food for the body and diet a lot! Hacks, habits, joys, guilts, and more. But what about the most important substance; the messaging you feed your mind?

We all consume a tremendous amount of content every day, most of it unconsciously. We scroll, swipe, listen, read, see…ads, posts, shows, and more, but rarely stop to think about it with even half the focus we put on food for the body. Half of it consumed without thought, the other half chosen based on what feels good, easy, fun, is an escape, or “normal.”

I listen to a lot of trash rap when I workout because it pumps me up. I love hip hop and rap and there is true poetry and art in so much of it, but I choose the garbage. The talentless rappers. Why? Maybe it’s the hard beats mixed with bravado that helps me get in that extra rep. The problem is, I’m playing this negative, violent, unhealthy messaging over and over and it inevitably makes its way in to my greatest asset. I’ve done this most my life. But what if we come to awareness and take a step back and choose differently. What if we don’t continue to do the same thing today just because thats what we did yesterday. What if we listen to positive, inspirational, and uplifting messaging. Watch it in our shows. Read it in our books. Design our social media echo chambers to contain mostly that as opposed to very little to none.

Each of us can design our own little worlds so everything around us reinforces our love for self and others, our confidence, and ambitions. This is something I’ve been doing consciously in many ways (though too much ratchet rap is still a thing at the moment) and that s**t is powerful! You feel me?
