Posted β’ .rivkin This patient is an artist who had broken his nose in the past and was seeing his tip start to droop down over time. The fractures caused some irregular contours that he wanted to smooth out and he really wanted a straighter nose on profile.Β
The challenge was to lift his tip on profile and better define it from the front view without widening it from the front view. I had to be really careful with placement of the filler.
He was thrilled with the result and it was really gratifying for me that it turned out so well.

Posted β’ .rivkin Winter is coming and for many people, that means the Seasonal Affective blues. The change in sunlight can really affect mood. First thing to know is that, if you suffer from this, you're not alone. Lots of people manage their SAD successfully without skipping a beat.

Numerous randomized controlled studies (i.e. the most high quality, reliable data) have been published showing that botulinum toxin treatment has significant positive effects on mood for patients with depression. Posted β’ Alexander Rivkin, MD] This is probably the most common nose type I see. Noses like this lack structure at the tip, making it droop down. I used Voluma, a long lasting hyaluronic acid filler, to lift and project his tip forward. After the tip is lifted to the desired height, I added Voluma to the bridge of his nose to match the height of his tip and give him a straight nose.
Making these small but impactful changes makes his nose blend in better with the rest of his features, and actually makes the nose appear smaller π
