Step Into Nature

Step into Nature invites you to get moving and explore the outdoors during a 1 hour, guided morning hike at Black River Sanctuary, located here in Bethlehem. This program encourages participants to discover local plants and wildlife while learning about environmental stewardship and sustainability.

Thanks to the generous support of Quaint Oak Bank, each participant will receive a wildflower seed packet, a journal, and colored pencils to inspire continued learning and connection with nature beyond the trail.

This is an offsite program. Participants will meet at Black River Conservancy located at 1339 Black River Rd, Allentown, PA 18103. Please arrive early. Dress appropriately: wear supportive shoes and consider wearing sunscreen and bug repellent. Please apply any insect repellent prior to coming to the sanctuary as it can harm beneficial insects (unless you are using non-toxic or natural sprays). Be prepared to walk 1.5 to 2 miles.
