🌡️ Extreme Heat Watch This Week 🌡️
High temperatures can quickly become dangerous. Take steps to protect yourself, your family, and your neighbors during this week’s extreme heat.
☀️ Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water—even if you don’t feel thirsty.
🧢 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing and sunscreen when outdoors.
🏠 Limit outdoor activities, especially during the hottest part of the day.
⏰ If you work outside, schedule strenuous tasks for the early morning or evening when possible.
❤️ Check on older adults, young children, people with chronic medical conditions, and anyone without reliable air conditioning.
Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. If someone shows signs of heat stroke—such as confusion, loss of consciousness, or a body temperature above 103°F—call 911 immediately.
Stay cool. Stay hydrated. Stay safe.

Thank you to our Community and Economic Department for hosting last night's Opening Doors Community Housing Update at Northampton Community College.
The Bethlehem Health Bureau was proud to be part of the conversation, with our Director of Nursing discussing initiatives that support individuals experiencing homelessness and our Lead & Healthy Homes Program sharing information about efforts to create safer, healthier housing for Bethlehem residents.
Housing is a critical component of public health, and we appreciate the opportunity to work alongside our community partners to expand access to safe, affordable housing for all.
