Some artists are incredibly reactive, able to make art anywhere, respond to their surroundings, adapt to any new setting.

For me it takes some adjustment. Among artists, I’m not the MOST “set in my ways” and dependent on the exact setup that I’m used to, but I do feel it when I’m creating in a new place.
This studio has been a dream, and it’s always a privilege to get to set up a space just the way you want it, and to respond to your workflows, fixing efficiencies, learning what works best.
The art is starting to flow now, and I’m excited to share all of it

Not every pattern belongs in a marbling bath. But the ones that fight it? Those are the interesting ones.
I was looking at classic Italian tile work, and feeling inspired. I love the way interlocking colors push and pull against each other, and how individual tiles carry charming and elegant accents. That felt worth chasing. In water marbling though, you design your approach and then the fluid finishes the thought.
