09/2022 when I began my journey to take control of my health, 2 weighted vests(20lbs each) were purchased to help me with my workout. During the first 3 months, I wore just 10lbs and slowly increased the distance and pace(more jogging than walking). I lost 20lbs. 6 months in, I put on 20lbs on the vest since I had already shredded that much weight off my body. Today, I am down a total 40lbs and guess what. 40lbs of weight is what I am wearing. For anyone who is new to weighted best, I would strongly recommend buying the 20lbs vest and start with 5~10lbs of power walking. Be prepared that your shoulders will feel the weight, and your legs would work extra hard every step you take. The result is your normal workout will 2X or more. My goal for the rest of the year is to keep up with 40lbs of weight and be able to run a half marathon by increasing half mile every 2 weeks. As I say to all my friends, let's get stronger together!
