Life Matters Mitigation

This is my partner, Sandi (Sandra Day O’Conner Lippert). Someday she will be the best dog ever but it sure feels like a long time getting there. The Diva Eva had me so spoiled. We’ve put in a good 40,000 miles so far together working. As I reviewed my page I realized I’ve neglected to include her so here’s the pup who helps balance my crazy busy little world.

In my humble opinion, this ex*****on amounted to state assisted su***de. I should probably be hurt that EJI implied his trial team sucked but everyone was fired except me as this mentally ill man was deemed competent to make his own trial decisions and to represent himself at trial and sentencing. He fired EJI too and demanded ex*****on quickly so he got his wish. My heart goes out to the awesome circle of family and friends who love him. Rest in peace Mr. Dearman.

Our Ennis case is being covered on the program 48 Hours tonight at 9. I’m convinced he’s innocent and wrongly convicted. Nervous? Not just a little.

Current conditions in our Alabama prisons are unconstitutionally inhumane. The accepted level of violence, abuse and corruption breaks my heart. Please join/support the families trying to help their incarcerated loved ones and support prison and sentencing reform in AL. The daily anxiety levels of inmates and their families is immeasurable with no hope under our present parole board denying a vast majority of parole applications. The federal lawsuits pending are not resulting in the changes needed for safety, adequate nutrition, adequate health and mental healthcare. It’s an overwhelming situation but every bit of support for reform is appreciated. My fears for my clients, their families and especially my disabled clients entering DOC can’t be overstated.
