Converge HR Solutions

One question worth asking every direct report before the formal review:

"Is there anything you need from me that you're not getting right now?"

Not "how are things going." Not "are you on track."

This one is specific enough to invite a real answer, and open enough not to lead the witness.

The managers who ask it, and actually listen, tend to catch things early that others don't find out about until it's too late.
