Many members of the + community find that as they age, they must go back to hiding who they are in order to find a safe space. But now, that safe space can be found in Ferndale's Raymond E. Shepherd House. The four-story residential development brings affordable and supporting housing to LGBTQ+ seniors. With 53 units, indoor and outdoor spaces, and a dedicated meeting center, the facility will help foster connection and improve the quality of life for its residents.

What a great experience, working with Full Circle Communities, Inc. and LBBA on this impactful project, which is a testament to the power in creating spaces that welcome everyone.

Raymond E. Shepherd House dedication in Ferndale On Friday, touring began at the Raymond E. Shepherd House in downtown Ferndale, named after a longtime Ferndale resident who died in 2018.
