Bay Area Receivership Group

Gerard Keena from Bay Area Receivership Group was appointed over three different substandard and dangerous nuisance properties this week.

One in the City of Lafayette with assistance from the Law Firm of Best Best & Krieger, as well as two in the City of Fremont. One of these petitions was handled by the law firm of Jones & Mayer, while the other petition was handled by an in-house deputy city attorney in Fremont.

Gerard Keena and his staff at Bay Area Receivership Group look forward to abating the dangerous conditions at these properties and bringing peace back to these neighborhoods. As well as working as a fiduciary with the respective owners of the properties.

BARG Attorney & Receiver spoke at the League of Cities Leadership Summit for Mayors, City Council Members, and City Managers on how to resolve drug houses. Seattle University Law Review published BARG Attorney Ryan Griffith's law review on cannabis receiverships. Cannabis receiverships are a way for cannabis businesses that are struggling to obtain financial protections. These financial protections are normally available through the bankruptcy process. However, since cannabis is illegal federally legal cannabis businesses cannot file for bankruptcy.
